
Seeking full and equitable funding for all federally impacted schools.
1. Federal Property - Known as Section 8002 in the Impact Aid law-- provides payments to local school districts that have lost a portion of their local tax base because of federal ownership of the property.
Eligibility: Local school districts must demonstrate that the Federal Government has acquired real property, since 1938, with an assessed valuation of at least 10 percent of all real property valuation in the district at the time of acquisition.
2. Basic Support - Known as Section 8003(b)-- helps local school districts that education federally connected children living on
OR
school districts that have parents in the uniformed services or parents who are employed on eligible federal properties who do not live on federal property.

3. Children with Disabilities - Known as Section 8003(d)—provides additional assistance to school districts that educate federally connected children who are eligible for services under IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Act). These students are counted in the basic support count and are also counted for this section of the law. These monies must be used for the increased costs of educating federally connected children with disabilities.
4. Construction Grants - Known as Section 8007—provides monies for local school districts that educate high percentages of children living on Indian Lands and children of members of the uniformed services. These grants help pay for the construction and repair of school buildings. Section 8007 (a) provides formula grants to the local school districts based on the number of eligible federally connected children they educate. Section 8007 (b) provides competitive grants for emergency repairs and modernization of facilities.
